How to estimate the cost

Multiply original document pages by complete copy sets to count printed sides. For duplex jobs, round sheets separately for every set so odd-page documents retain their blank last sides.

  1. Enter original pages and complete copy sets.
  2. Choose paper, page orientation, sides and colour/B&W mix.
  3. Enter real paper and production rates.
  4. Choose production-cost markup or already-inclusive retail rates, then add finishing and applicable tax.

Before you quote a customer

Retail rates already include paper/printing and margin: do not add markup twice. Confirm original page counts, duplex output, paper stock and any extra customer finishing charge.

Use your own shop rates. The calculator is a planning estimate, not a supplier price feed, accounting invoice or guarantee of printing-machine suitability.

Frequently asked questions

Does landscape always cost more?

No. Orientation changes the page dimensions; photocopy sheets and printing depend on page count, sets, sides and rates.

How many sheets for five pages copied ten times duplex?

Thirty sheets before waste: each five-page set needs three sheets. There are fifty printed customer sides and ten blank last sides.
